Another card using the Dancing With Shadows CD from Joanna Sheen. This one is for the Papertake Weekly Challenge of Scrap This!
Made using bits and pieces from my scrap box and a length of pink lace. Even the ribbon bow was out of my scrap box - made up for something else and then a change of mind meant that it went in my scrap box with all the other bits and pieces.
Now onto something that a lovely lady left for me to pick up - a friendship award.

These awards are the friendship and Lemonade stand awards:The instructions for each award are as follows:"These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated" It also says: "Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award." (Friendship)and:Nominate 5 to 10 blogs you feel show great attitude and gratitude. Link to your nominees within your blog post.- Comment on their blogs to let them know they've received the award. Link back to the person who gave you the award to show your appreciation. (Lemonade Stand)So here is my list of those I'd like to pass this award onto, these are people whom through them and their blogs help inspire and motivate me:
First of all thank you to Cathy - KraftyKoolKat for awarding them to me - right back at ya hun!!
I find this very difficult to just pass onto a certain number of people as there are so many that inspire me and give their support and friendship freely. So this is for everyone that I have ever visited, and anyone who visits me.
Thanks for your visit today.

Dancing With Shadows Birthday Card
Today's card is a request from a friend for her Mum - she loves silhouette work so I have made the card using an image from the Dancing With Shadows CD from Joanna Sheen. I have also followed this week's sketch over at the Sketch Saturday Challenge. You seriously need to check this one out - they are celebrating their Birthday in style this week!!
The lace paper is also from the CD and I have embellished with a Martha Stewart border, lace, satin ribbon, flowers and gems. I have cheated slightly - stretched the sketch and used a circle rather than an oval in the bottom square - artistic licence or just plain cheating??!!

Pink Christening Card!

This is another of the large A4 cards and boxes I was asked for - a very strict remit of what to put on it, even down to the peel-offs!
I am using this one as my card for the My Time To Craft Challenge this week - Pink, To Make The Boys Wink!
The card has been made using little Fimo Baby feet, alphabet beads, the cross is a charm fixed with a brad, and I have embellished with fluffy fibres. This was my first go at playing with Fimo - not too bad but could have been a whole lot better!

Big Word Decoupage!
I had a wonderful Birthday - I went out for the day with hubby to the Black County Museum. I have a list of places I want to visit and this was one of them. If you have never been there then you need to go - I thoroughly enjoyed the day. When I got home I had more cards and pressies waiting for me and then a surprise visit from my Sister who lives in Devon. We all trooped out for a lovely evening meal and she stopped the night. I had a wonderful day, was really spoilt and was thrilled with the visit from my Sister as it had been nearly a year since had last seen her.
A huge thank you for all my gorgeous cards and well wishes - I will share these with you all in the coming days!

A 21st & A 40th!
The first card today is a 21st card for a Horse mad young lady! This is also good for the Daring Card Maker's Challenge of Old MacDonald's Farm! I kept this to a Black, White & Red colour theme. The piece directly behind the stamped horse is made to look like wood using ink pads and a black pen.
I was asked to make a 40th Medieval card for a friend's Husband, she also wanted the card to be A4 in size! I didn't have much in the way of stamps and I do struggle a bit with the larger cards but I managed to put something together. This is also good for the ABC Challenge this week - M for Metallic! There is lots of gold embossing and gold bits and pieces on this card.
I didn't have any of the larger envelopes either so a large box had to made to match the card - just about had enough A3 sheets of card to do this for her.

The second ATC is for the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge of 'That's Torn It'. I have used torn edges for the sand and the waves. The image is from the Dottie Fun Time Set and has been coloured with pens. The sky is sponged inks and I have edged the waves with a white gel pen.

A Sketch & A Collage

The Daisy May Design Challenge this week was a sketch. I have used this cute image of Daisy on the phone. Coloured with Copics and mounted onto a background of patterned paper and Nestie Scalloped Ovals. Embellished with a flower, brad, gems and satin ribbon.
This second card is a collage type card for the Saturday Workout Challenge of Make A Collage. This is also my card for the Joanna Sheen Forum Challenge to recycle something on your card. This piece of crocheted lace edging was taken off a top I used to wear - it once decorated the hem of the sleeves and before I chucked the top out, due to a tear, I took the edging off. This card was stitched together with my Janome mini. The image is from a Tuscan Rose CD.

This is a card I made using my new Elegant Fans CD from Joanna Sheen. It is also good for a couple of challenges - The Alphabet Challenge - F is for Fan and the Secret Crafter Challenge of Flowers.
The image has been decoupaged up several layers using silicone glue and is mounted onto backing paper which was also printed from the CD. Embellished with pearls and satin ribbon.
This is the first inside layer of the card - I had distressed the edges of the card and the circular mount.
This is the card opened up fully, with a little fan embellishment in the bottom corner and a layer to write your message in the centre.

Dropped A Clanger!

I had a good start to the day - popped onto the Secret Crafter Challenge Blog to see what this week's challenge was and realised that I was lucky enough to have won a goody bag!! Certainly raised my spirits this morning!
Then Postie arrived and had some more Design Goodies delivered! I couldn't wait to play with this set of clear rubber stamps - The Clangers from The Crafthouse Press! I decided I wanted a messy and abstract background for these little cuties and made a piece using various Glimmer Mists. I have also used some silver mirror card for the covers they have on their little holes and I also backed the background onto the same silver mirror card. This is my challenge card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge of Mirror, Mirror!
My second card today is the one I was trying to finish yesterday! This is for the challenge at Dottie's World this week to make a card for a Teenager. I have used one of the new Mikey images for my card. I have used various patterned papers including one from Tinker & Co. The topper has been stamped with an Autumn Leaves Flourish Stamp. Embellished with brads.
Thanks for the visit.
