Technique Thursday Spot On Friday!

Well I was flat out yesterday but decoded to make some time today so I have managed to cover a Brayer Background Technique - Jack Frost.

You will need glossy card stock, dye ink pads of your colour choice, brayer, water spritzer, glittery embossing powder and the plastic backing of a large address label or similar.

You can actually buy coloured glossy card stock but if you don't have this then brayer a dye ink in a colour of your choice over a piece of white glossy card stock and put it aside to dry.

Your brayering doesn't need to be perfect but a reasonably even coat is required.

Next you need the plastic backing form a large address label. This needs to be scrunched up in your hand to put creases in it and then opened out again.

Once flattened out, brayer one or two contrasting colours of dye ink onto the label and spritz lightly with water.

Place the label, inky side down, onto your previously brayered glossy card stock and brayer over the back to trasfer the ink onto the card stock.

While the ink is still wet, sprinkle a clear glittery embossing powder onto your card stock for a frosty, icy look. Heat emboss.

Finish your card as desired. I have used a Tilda image for my card, coloured with ProMarkers, embellished with an organza mix ribbon and pearls. This is also my card for the Alphabet Challenge this week - I is for Ink!
