Stamp Addicts Design Work - Bubble Bath

This is the first card using this fab stamp 'Bubble Bath' by Printworks available from Stamp Addicts. I have stamped and coloured the image very simply with watercolours and I have embossed the bubbles with supasparkle embossing powder. I have embellished the embossed background with a piece of an old flannel adding a little duck charm and a ribbon bow. The background and the oval that the topper is mounted onto are stamped with the marble side of the Judikins Artifacts cube. This is also going to be my contribution to the Cute Card Thursday challenge of 'no patterned papers'.

More cards from this stamp in the coming days!

Sisterhood of the Blogging Stampers 19 or 20?!

Well there seems to be a bit of confusion over numbers so I am not sure as yet whether I am in SBS 19 or 20! As soon as I know I will add everyone to my side bar. In the meantime - I am looking forward to being in a group of like minded people for inspiration and crafting support and look forward to getting to know everyone on the list, when it is finalised!

Tanda Design Work - New Christmas Stamps

Tanda Stamps have just launched some mew Christmas stamps - real wintery cottage type stamps! They are perfect for the quick cards that many of us need. I have used the round stamp above with a cuttlebug background. I have picked out some of the embossed snowflakes and glittered them with holographic glitter for a touch of added sparkle embellished with ribbon.

This second card uses a lovely Christmas tree stamp. I have added swags by drawing them on with a versamark pen. embossing in red embossing paper and adding some glitter with stickles glue so that they really stand out.

For this card I have used the cottage scene. I have stamped it, smudged the coloured slightly with a water pen, covered in embossing ink and embossed using a clear iridescent embossing powder. This is really shimmery and sparly. The die cut snowflake has been embossed in the same way. Embellished with ribbon.

This is also my contribution to the Daring Card Makers dare this week - 'Christmas in June'.

Arty Girlz - Naure!

The Arty Girlz challenge this week was 'Nature'. For my card I have sort of followed another of Michelle Zindorf's tutorials. Basically the same but different inks, stamps and materials and somewhere along the line I have gone my own way slightly. Not as good as Michelle's but always great fun to do! Do check Michelle's blog out her work is so inspiring and the tutorials are there to follow and have a go.

Tilda is coloured with pens and a the ATC is embellished with a couple of paper daisies.

Joanna Sheen Challenge - Fabric

I made this yesterday for the Joanna Sheen challenge this week of 'Fabric' and now that it is dry I have managed to take a scan. I have covered a piece of card with this gorgeous cotton - a fat quarter I picked up on EBay some time ago. The image is from the Joanna Sheen American Frontier CD and I have layered it and embellished with a leather thong and photo corners.

I have only just managed to sort this today as my little dog Chloe is pretty poorly today. She has had four seizures in about 12 hours and been up and down to the Vets. Don't think I am going to get much sleep tonight, I am so worried about her.

Papertake Weekly Sketch Challenge

Bit of a quickie again today - this fits the Papertake Weekly challenge this week which was a sketch. I don't know where this patterned paper is from - found a piece in my stash from ages ago - it looks like handmade paper but isn't. The hearts are embossed from a Cuttlebug folder. Gold embossed Congratulations greeting and embellished with a gold metallic ribbon.

Penny Black - Friends!

The Penny Black Saturday Challenge this week was a 'Friendly' one - make something you would give to a friend. A second challenge on the Sunday Stampers was also to do with Friendship - 'With a little help from my friends'. I chose to use this little Hedgie in his hammock. He is coloured with Copic pens and popped onto various matted layers of DCWV patterned papers. Embellished with ribbon, flowers, gems and a 'Let's Hang Out!' greeting.

Dotties World - Holes!

The challenge over at Dottie's World this week was 'Holy Guacamole'. They want to see holes on your cards this week, something larger than paper pricking! That's the stitching out of the window then! I made this card using the image of Dottie as an Artist from the Fun Time Dottie download. I made a piece of background paper by colouring like a rainbow with my Copics and Dottie's image was coloured with the same set of pens. Along the bottom border of the card I have punched holes all the way along and I have added a strip of the rainbow paper on the inside of the card. I have layered dottie onto green card and randomly punched more holes to the topper adding eyelets. Embellished with ribbon, prima and gems.

Tagged!!

Well Sheila has tagged me - first time in a while so here goes! I have to answer five questions and then tag five people.

TEN YEARS AGO ...... I was not a happy person so I would rather not reflect too much about that period of my life. I was working in the same large warehouse that I work today only then I had part time hours (Bliss!!) My eldest son was moving up to the big school! The only hobbies I had were reading and cross stitch! I had just passed my driving test!

FIVE THINGS ON TODAY'S TO DO LIST:_

1. Take the Dogs for a quick walk.
2. Make a Birthday card for a friend's Birthday tomorrow.
3. Wipe the dishes and put them away.
4. Iron my work uniform.
5. Write a letter.

SNACKS I ENJOY:-

Crisps, Twiglets and chocolate fingers. All naughty but nice!

THINGS I WOULD DO IF I WERE A MILLIONAIRE:-

Give loads to various charities. Set all the kids up with home and a car and buy a place for OH and myself with some land so that I could have lots of Springer Spaniels! I would love to do something craft wise too!

PLACES I HAVE LIVED:-

Devon and the Midlands.

The people I am going to tag in return are:-

JAK
TWINNIE
CHRISSIE
CYNTHIA
WENDY

A Quick Get Well Card!

The Daring Card Makers challenge this week was to make a 'quick' card. This is my effort - I needed a Get Well for a mate recently in Hospital and who used to be a Nurse! The card took 20 minutes to make including printing the image! Patterned paper is Papermania and I have edged with a silver Krylon pen. Some paper pricking and a quick ribbon tied around the top. The image is one from my new Card Toonz Professional Nuttyness CD by Andy Carolan, which has some cute and wicked images of loads of different professions on it, just perfect for those quick cards! Anyone interested in the CD it can be purchased from the Joanna Sheen web site definitely a great addition to your craft arsenal! The card is also embellished with blue snaps.

Tanda Design Work - Advert Plate 4

Tanda Stamps have released another plate in their advert series - Advert Set 4. The above card has been made using paints and markers. The shell and the crab have been diamond glazed. I have pinned the advert onto a piece of torn cork board. The seaside images and greeting are also from Tanda Stamp.

This second card has coloured with various dye inks. I have used used the Tanda crackle background stamp, a boat image from the Transport set and I have made a deeply embossed compass from the Travel Set 1.

I am using this second card as my challenge card for the Tanda Teaser this week - 'Tanda in the background'. Sue Law's very first challenge to use Tanda stamps to make a background piece for your card!

There are seven adverts in total on this set so well worth a peek!

I was so pleased to read this - I have only managed to get a limited number of these little beauties and that has all been down to kind hearted blog friends! Can't wait!!!

Now today I must say a huge thanks to Louly for featuring me on the Customer Thursday slot over at Dottie's World today. Thank you for your very kind words - I was very touched! Joanna Sheen Challenge - Decoupage Sunshine & Flowers

The Joanna Sheen Forum has started a weekly challenge and this week the theme was 'Sunshine & Flowers'. For my card I decided to do a piece of decoupage. I chose this lovely floral image which is a beautiful sunshine colour! The flower decoupage is from the Joanna Sheen Floral Fantasy CD. Simply mounted onto Cuttlebug embossing that has been layered onto lemon card stock and embellished with a lemon ribbon bow. Photo corners and glower gems have also been added and the centre of the flowers have been glittered.

Twinchies!

The Wednesday Stamper challenge this week is to have a go at making some 'Twinchies'. As I only had very limited time today I thought that I would give this a quick go! I always try these new ideas at least once. Didn't like Inchies at all - these are marginally easier to do but I still struggle with such a small space! I may have another go in the future but I don't think I will get 'into' Twinchies in a big way lol! These are also good for the Theme Thursday challenge of 'Hats'. I have used various colours of dye inks, the swirls are Stampin Up and the ladies are Her Arts.

Midsummer's Night Tilda

Tilda & Co Challenge - Serendipity

The Tilda & Co Challenge this week is called 'Serendipity'. For my card I got together some scraps of patterned paper and card in shades of green from my scrap box. I made a background sheet using the serendipity technique and I stamped two different flowers all over the sheet. One was embossed in green and one was embossed in gold. I then cut it up to use on my card. I have a backing piece behind Tilda's square, the centre of the large flower has been punched from the sheet and I also punched a couple of very small tags for my card too. Tilda has been coloured with markers and mounted onto a a piece of Cuttlebug embossing. I also cut a piece of plumbers tape and embossed that with gold embossing powder and glitter. This was mounted onto a green piece of card and gems were added. Other embellishments include Flora Doodle Flowers, Primas, die cut leaves and a piece of cotton trim.

Penny Black 'First' Challenge

Today I share my card for the very first Penny Black Saturday Challenge. The theme was to use the 'First Penny Black stamp' that you bought. For me it was the little chap strolling along playing his violin! I am also using this card for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge to use three different sorts of embellishments on your card with the brads, Flower and Ribbon!

For my card I have used K & Co patterned paper, with a piece of blue card stock covered in white and blue lace over the top. I have embossed a piece of white card with the Music Cuttlebug embossing folder and edged this with a silver Krylon pen. The little hedgehog has been coloured with water colours and there is a second layer to him for depth. I have cut some music die cuts in a blue glitter card and added some silver highlights to them. Embellished with brads, a Flora Doodle flower and ribbon.

Sisters!

Ooh I am having a bit of a job getting a good image of this card today! If I can get a better one later I will change it. In the meantime the card was made with two challenges in mind. The Wednesday Stampers Challenge this week was 'Sister' and the Saturday Workout theme was 'Crumple It'. For my card I have used a stamp from the 'Queen's Dresser Drawers. I have used inks and paints to make the topper and the background piece. I have stamped a large Elusive image flower over the inked background piece and used an Autumn Leaves swirl stamp around the edges of the topper. For the 'crumple it' challenge I have screwed up some paper, uncrumpled it and covered it in Versamark. I then sprinkled various colours of embossing powder onto the piece and heat embossed. The card is embellished with eyelets, silver cord, prima flower and pearls.

My second offering today is an ATC for the Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge. The theme this week was 'Bits & Pieces' - to use up some scraps of paper, pieces to be no more than 1" x 2". My background is made up of two different papers cut into 1" squares. Tilda has been coloured with pens and her trousers have been paper pieced with the bit of card left over from the background. Embellished with punched out flowers and gems.

Di Hickman Template Challenge - 11th June

My First card today was made for the Di Hickman Template challenge this week. For my card I have used a large floral stamp from an Elusive Image stamp sheet along with a small solid flower stamp from Printworks 'Flower Shop' set. I have randomly stamped the image over my base card. I matted and layered three squares of Cuttlebug Birds and Swirls embossing and attached to my base card. I stamped the large flower out again and cut it out. I also stamped it onto the yellow card stock and just cut out centre of the flower. The flower has then been mounted 3D on the centre panel.

Tanda Teaser - Bear Necessities!

This week's Tanda Teaser is called 'BEAR NECESSITIES'. We want to see cards with images of bears - it could be a Grizzly bear, Panda bear, Koala bear, Polar bear. Yogi Bear, Pooh Bear or cute little teddy bears!

I have also discovered that my card is good for a second challenge too - the Lots to do challenge theme this week is Teddy Bears!

For my card I have used an image from the Tanda Stamp Teddy Bears Set 1 and water coloured the image. The flower he is holding was paper pieced with the same card stock I have matted and layered the Cuttlebug embossing onto. Patterned paper is Papermania and I have smudged the edges with a matching die ink! Embellished with Prima Flowers and gems.

Follow the link to the Tanda Teaser and join us in the challenge - a challenge is set every week and ladies participate on the Forum too where we have a Gallery for you pics. Next week will be Sheila's turn to set the challenge and my turn to participate!

I have recently discovered Dottie and George! You can download images of these cute little characters Here. I also discovered that there is a weekly challenge set every Sunday on Dottie's World! This week the challenge was to use any Dottie image along with some 'stripes and stitching'. I have used this fab image of Dottie under the hair dryer. She has been coloured with pens and I have drawn a blanket stitch effect around the edge of my topper. She has been mounted over a backing made up of striped paper from K & Co, Cuttlebug embossing, white lace and red organza ribbon. embellished with photo corners and a flora doodle.

A Rose for a Friend!

I have just finished making this card for someone, I do hope they like it! The stamp is from the Joanna Sheen Garden Fairy Collection - the 'Wild Rose' Set. This is such a beautiful stamp and one I turn to time and again! My rose has been stamped in Black Versafine and water coloured using and embossing pens so that I could clear emboss the image. I have then sponged inks around the image and over stamped a large cheesecloth background stamp in a pink dye ink to give it some texture. Embellish with a clip and some black satin ribbon, a fancy die cut corner and a sentiment held onto the ribbon with a little safety pin. I then matted and layered the image onto white and black card before attaching to the card base.

My Time To Craft Challenge - Birds!

The theme for the My Time To Craft Challenge this week was 'Birds'. I have made another card in Michele Zindorf's style - this time I have created my own scene without following a Tutorial! After I had finished it I spotted things I could have done a lot better but this technique is definitely a learn and improve as you go technique!

For my card I have used an Owl stamp of unknown origin and a set from Stampin Up called 'Art of Life'. I have sponged Adirondack Butterscotch, Terracotta, Ginger, Espresso and black onto my scene. For me, with no art experience, the hardest part is the light issue. In the end I just do something that is pleasing to my eye!

Another blog prize is up for grabs to those who join in with the challenge this week!!

Tanda Stamp Design Work - Clarice Cliff Sets

Another nice envelope dropped through the door on Saturday! Tanda Stamps have launched two new stamp sets - Clarice Cliff Set 1 and Clarice & Erte Borders, both designed by Sue Law. As with all new stamps I receive I couldn't wait to play with these!! I wanted a crisp clean look to my cards . The above card is simply stamped and coloured with Copics in bold strong colours. The front of the card is cut back to reveal the fab matching border.

I just loved this border and I have added gems and diamond glaze to it here. The image has been stamped in black Versafine and clear embossed. I have then sponged various pink dye inks onto the image and highlighted parts of the image in white. A bit of matting and layering before attaching to base card.

Finally for this session there is a great tea pot stamp which any of the round scene stamps it into nicely. I have used the boat one here, colouring with copics. The front of the base card has been cut in a circular fashion using a tea plate! A contrasting border has been added and some patterned paper on the inside of the card. I used a stencil and pricked a circular pattern around the teapot. All greetings used are on the Clarice Cliff Set 1 as well!

Go on - check them out, along with some cards that Sue designed herself - just click HERE!

Sunday Stampers & Tanda Teaser

Today I share a card for two challenges, Sunday Stampers with the theme of 'Lost in France' and the Tanda Teaser theme of 'Initial Reaction'. For my card I have utilised an ATC that I made previously. I often do this with ATC's, they make perfect toppers! So my thank you card has used the French image of Tilda and she has been coloured in Copics in the colours of the French flag. For the Tanda part of the card I have cut a large 'M' for the beginning of the French word for thanks!

I have the day off so I may be back later!

Cute Card Thursday - Christmas!!

The Cute Card Thursday Challenge this week was 'Christmas'. My first Christmas Card!!! I am having a job believing that I have actually made a Christmas card. I am always, always a last minute girl and don't enjoy making them at all. Thank you ladies you have given me an early kick start!

For my card I have printed papers from the Artylicious Season's Greetings CD and used the image of Tilda in winter clobber sitting on a present. The image has been water coloured, her scarf has been embossed with silver sparkle along with the snowflake die cut embellishment. The matting square has been made using white card that I have embossed a few dots on using the Crop-a-dile and some backing paper that has Happy Christmas randomly stamped on it. At the very bottom of this piece is some torn vellum that has been embossed with Holographic embossing powder and held on with silver brads. A Silver organza ribbon is tied around the centre.

Stamping on Gesso Backgrounds

A card from my Archives for Rainbow Lady's Mono Rainbow card challenge - I have made backgrounds in shades of red acrylic paints and Gesso, stamping my images in Black Stazon. Embellished with punch art flowers with clear gems in the centre. I have also used a scrabble tile at the start of the word which is probably a cheat but hey ho! This is also another card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge to use die cuts of punched shapes on your card. Plus the eyelets at the top through which I have threaded the ribbon cover the Wednesday Stamper Challenge to use eyelets. All stamps are from Rubbadubbdoo.

More Flower Shop Samples

A couple of sample cards for the Flower Shop set of stamps by Printworks supplied by Stamp Addicts. Also suitable for the Daring Card Makers mid week dare as I have used Jade green in both cards!

On the above card the background is made using Ecoline inks and I have used the greetings as stems to the flowers. Embellsihed with coloured vellum and gold brads.

For this one I have masked off part of the base card and stamped one of the flower shapes randomly over one section of the card, adding a gold peel off strip for a border. The same flower stamp is stamped in three different coloured inks and mounted on a strip of layered patterned paper.

Of course with using such a cute stamp it is also good for Cute Card Thursday's challenge of 'Pattern Paper'. The PSX dog stamp has been stamped on a piece of card that has been coloured with alcohol inks. The edges have been distressed and a corner curled back. I have used a die cut circle and leather die cut photo corner on my card. The photo corner has been embellished with brads and Prima flowers have been added.

Tanda Go large with the Klimt Tree Stamp!

Due to popular demand Tanda Stamps have taken the Klimt Tree from Klimt Set 1 and made it bigger. Whereas the original stamp measured 78 x 65mm this new, bigger version measures 110 x 88mm approx and comes with a shortened Klimt Kiss Border. I received this new set through the letter box last week and found time for a bit of a play today. I have made a patterned piece of paper with the Klimt Kiss Border on the diagonal using a stamp positioner. This has been layered up with some Cuttlebug embossed pieces. The main Klimt Tree image has been stamped with black Versafine and clear embossed. I have trimmed it up and edged with Gold Krylon pen before layering onto black card and mounting 3D over the background. Embellished with photo corners and a ribbon bow.

Tilda & Co Challenge - Anything but cards!

The Tilda & Co Challenge this week was to make anything as long as it wasn't a card. I have decided to go with a 'Sweetie Gift Bag' that I had been looking at on the Scor-Pal site. A Tutorial from a very talented lady called Maria Bell. Papers are Papermania and my image is water coloured. I have stamped the front of the bag with a couple of flourish stamps - Printworks 'Frames & Flourishes from Stamp Addicts. Embellished with a Flora Doodle flower and satin ribbons. The sweets are just a bag of Minstrels I had lurking in the cupboard - makes an inexpensive cute gift for someone!
