I used to have a real passion for making ATC's and have lost interest of late. I spent the morning trying to kindle my passion for ATC's using a couple of the weekly challenges. First up is the Think Monday Think ATC challenge theme of Africa. Stamps used are Judikins images.
Next I turned Arty Girlz to the weekly challenge theme of 'Circles'. Whenever I think circles I think Sixties and groovy stuff so An Austin Powers ATC materialised for this one! I would like to say I succeeded in my mission to gain more interest in ATC's but I have to say I failed miserably! I don't think I will be joining in any ATC swaps for the time being!

Messing with New Stuff

Last week I was lucky enough to be sent two new Klimt stamp sets to play with from Tanda Stamps - designed by Sue law. I got all my paints and gesso out today and made time to have a bit of a play. This was one of the ideas I had - a couple more brewing in my head! The Limt borders are going to be useful! Unfortunately now I have to go to work for the first time in 10 days! Never mind I have another break in a couple of weeks time!

Hickory, Dickory Dock ....

The Sunday Stamper Challenge this week was - 'Time'. I don't know how but instead of the usual type of thing you get an image of for 'time', I remembered a grandfather clock embellishment I had tucked away and Tilda managed to creep into it too! I think the bug is taking hold! I guess I should be saying ''' Hello, my name is Wendy and I am a Tilda-aholic ......."!! At least I am not on my own! For the card I have used paper pieced clothes and the rest of Tilda along with the little mouse from Tanda Stamp has been coloured with water colours.
Thanks for visiting.

A 70th Birthday Commission
Today I share a commissioned Birthday card - excuse the shadow the scanner didn't like the Butterfly! I have taken the Envelope Template that I purchased for charity and that I used in an earlier post and I have reduced the size so that I could use it as a topper on the front of an 8 x 6" card. Everything here is Joanna Sheen - the gingham backing paper is from the Fashion Boutique CD, The Violet stamp is from the Joanna Sheen Garden Fairy range of stamps, the Butterfly embellishment is a new item in the shop and the ribbon was also purchased here. This card is going into a matching box which I am in the process of finishing.
Thanks for looking!

2) Acknowledge the post of the award giver.
3) Display the logo 'You make my day'
4) tell the award winners that they have won by commenting on their blogs with the news.
I would like to pass the award onto Chris, a lady that has no end to her talents! Lavender who has a great style to her work and gives me so much encouragement on a daily basis! Sandy whose work I admire greatly! Andrea because I just love her Tilda Creations with a passion! Tilda & Co Challenge - Romance/Buckle
This week the Tilda & Co Challenge had an either or option - Romance or Buckle. I decided to try and incorporate the two for the card I am sharing with you today. Patterned papers and card are DCWV, hearts have been cut on the Cricut and the large heart embellished with ribbon and a gold buckle, four red brads embellish the corners. The Tilda stamp I have used is so cute - aren't they all! She is bringing you a single Red Rose, how romantic! I bought this stamp, amongst others from Joanna Sheen, but you have to be quick when stocks are in as she keeps disappearing into someone else's basket! Magnolia meets PSX
The one thing I enjoy about playing with the Tilda stamps is remembering what other stamps you have that could be paired up with them. For this card I have used a PSX Bird Bath stamp along with the Tilda and Bird stamp. I have tried to keep the whole thing colour co-ordinated and mounted it all onto a 5inch square card. The only embellishments are the two brads holding a strip stamped with Versamark and a stamping up filigree stamp. Images are coloured with Copic marker pens.

XOXO - Be My Valentine!
After making a set of ATC's to a colour theme of Red, White and Black I thought we would use this combo as the Weekly Card Challenge on the Tanda Stamp Forum. I made the card using DCWV black and white spot paper, to which I added a bit of red with a Copic pen. I used the computer to print a ribbon strip with the wording 'Be My Valentine' and an XOXO embellishment . For the torn script layer and the main topper I have used stamps from the Tanda Stamp Valentine Set 1 and embellished with organza ribbon. This is also my offering for the new challenge from the Craft Swap Forum - Sunday Stampers. You can find this on Pinkle's Blog and the theme this week was 'Love'.
