This was a bit of light hearted crafting this morning - just what the Doctor ordered!! I had a lot of fun with this and it's all thanks to Tina on the Joanna Sheen Forum. Tina sets the weekly challenge and this week she challenged us to 'Recycle' in as big a way as possible. I have been walking round the house and searching through cupboards and such looking for bits and pieces that I thought I could use.
I settled upon using a piece of wrapping paper that I received a pressie in recently. It was a bit creased so I scrunched it up properly and sanded with an old piece of sand paper I found in hubbie's tool box. That was my background sorted! When I was going through my bit box I came across a large card base that I had messed up my stamping this greeting directly onto the card base crooked. I cut the card base down to form my actual card and cut closely around the greeting to straighten things up a bit. I had a scrap of embossed card from another project that I made a base for a topper with and I just went around the edge with a gold krylon pen. Pondering on the greeting I decided I needed a pair of wellies for my main topper and got some magazines and catlogues out of the cupoard. I found a pair that matched the backing paper colour and cut them out mounting them onto the previously prepared base. I have embellished with ribbon taken from a card that was bought for me and buttons that were cut off a jacket being thrown out.
