I made this card for a friend who loves Classical Music so I thought I would use this one for the letter 'V' in Isa's Alpha Challenges. So my letter V is for Violin and my letter 'U' is in progress and I will have to add it late I'm afraid. Images are water coloured and they are laid onto some mulberry paper.

Chalk and Lace
A two in one for today's quick crafting fix. Theme Thursday's challenge was Chalk and the 4 x 4 Friday challenge was Lace. Background is made by clear embossing an Aspects of Design lace stamp and colouring with chalk inks. I have stamped over the top with Stazon using a Stampin' Up leaf stamp and popped an image from a Joanna Sheen CD - Victorian Angels and Fairies. Only embellishment is a piece of crocheted lace.

Wednesday Stamper - Diamonds
Diamonds was the theme for the Wednesday Stamper challenge this week and I chose to go with the shape. The background piece was made by firstly colouring a piece of white card in ink, stamping the Elusive Image diamond art stamp in the same colour onoto this, stamping a Rubbadubbadoo script stamp on top of this in black and finally stamping a netting stamp over this at the side and colouring in the diamond shapes of the netting with a black copic pen. The main image is PaperArtsy Pierrot Plate 3. Embellished with a black diamond shape in the corner.

DCM Mid Week Catch Up - Baubles, Bells and Bows
The DCM mid week extra, Santa's Little Helper, this week was Baubles, Bells and Bows. Due to family commitments I have had very little time again but managed to sneak an hour today to play with a new set of Christmas Bauble stamps from Joanna Sheen.
Both are simply stamped cards - on the above card I have coloured the background piece with inks and randomly picked up the text from inside the bauble in places. The bauble has been stamped on similarly coloured card using a blue Versafine ink. Tied with ribbon and chord, mounted 3D onto a plain white background piece to break things up a bit.
For this one I have cut away the top layer of the card at the half way mark, using patterned paper and colouring the base card with inks. The snowflakes and bauble stamp have been embossed in Midnight Blue Embossing powder. Another two cards to add to my Christmas stock pile.

I have then stamped around the edge of the arch with a Starflower Tapestry set. The image is from the Joanna Sheen Victorian Romance CD and the text is Stampin' Up. Embellished with paper flowers and a brad.

Daring Card makers - Song Without Words
This card, although made previously is just right for the DCM challenge this week- it illustrates the title of a Beatles song - 'Lady Madonna'. The stamp is Rubbadubbadoo and I have used it to do something similar before - only ATC sized. I have an idea for another if time permits!

Ribbons and Fibres - Arty Girlz
The Arty Girlz challenge this week was 'Ribbons and Fibres' and I needed to make another name frame card. This one has some pretty fibres tied to the letters so I hope this qualifies! The letters are cut out a number of times on the Cricut and stuck together to make faux chipboard. Coloured to match the patterned paper and embellished with fibres. The greeting and little lady is from a set of stamps from Stampin' Up called Birthday Beauty.

On my blogging travels I have seen some fab Shaker cards made using CD envelopes so I thought I would have a go this week, making a project using Tanda Stamps. This will also be my card for the Papertake Weekly Challenge for a Snowy Days theme! The snow shaker material inside the envelope is flowersoft and I have coloured the CD envelope with chalks before stamping.

Piles of parcels!
Santa's Little Helper on DCM this week is 'Piles of Parcels'! I made this card as a project after seeing a lot of these envelope cards, sometimes referred to as criss cross cards on many a blog. I really liked the look of them. I have used DCWV patterned paper and the stamps are from Tanda Stamp Christmas Set 6 and the Christmas word set. The envelope pocket is embellished with a wide red ribbon. Below is a piccie of it with the insert slid inside the pocket.
All stamps are available from Tanda Stamps.

Tag It!
The Saturday Stamper challenge this week was 'Tag It'! I have included a couple of cards I make if I need a card quickly and have very little time. The top card is made by very simply stamping the flower image in two complimentary coloured inks randomly all over the background piece of card. I have cut around a few petals of one flower using a craft knife. I use these petals to tuck a tag onto the card which has been stamped with a greeting, an image and embellished with brads and ribbons.
This second card is a mega quick card made using peices of paper from my scrap bag and a tag with a simply stamped image topper added with 3D foam pads - quickest wedding card ever!

DCM and Wednesday Stamper Combined
Two challenges combined - the Daring Card Maker's theme was to use corrugated card - I have coloured a strip of corrugated card with pen, lightly inked with Versamark and embossed with Gold. The Wednesday Stamper theme this week was Leaves so I thought I would go with Autumnal colours and having seen a few Thanksgiving cards on many a blog I visit, that was my overall theme - Thankful Blessings. The card is a bit of a mixed lot with a coloured and stamped background, an image of leaves from the Joanna Sheen Victorian Flowers CD and a stamped vase and pumpkins - this was an altered Serendipity cling stamp.

Snowflakes and Santa!
The Daring Card Makers mid week little extra is another Santa's Helper challenge. Snowmen or Snowflakes. This is a design that I make a few of each year and seem to be loved by the recipients - I use a different snowflake stamp and vary the colours but it is a very simply stamped card. This one has beads tied to the ends of the ribbon but I have also tied little bells onto the ribbon in the past too!
I also share a page made for the 4 x 4 Friday Challenge - cheated for this I'm afraid! The challenge was Faux postage . I had some Christmas stamps left over from last year or the year before so I have played with them digitally and made a Faux Postage square. Stamps used are from Tanda Stamps - a mini set called Santa Set 1.

Arty Girlz and Theme Thursday

Two new challenges in one for this card. The Arty Girlz challenge is to use three colours of the rainbow set by Cynthia - a very special Forum Friend of mine. The second new challenge site I found is called Theme Thursday and this week the challenge is Script. I have used Red, green and a splash of orange in the centre that doesn't show brilliantly on the scan and have incorporated a script stamp on the topper and the base card. The technique used for the background is called Rainbow Strip Flip and is another from a Technique Junkies newsletter.
